Our Impact

Serving in Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, and Marion counties, Greater Indy Habitat provides the access, education, house construction, and mortgage for low-to-moderate income buyers to purchase a home without being cost burdened.

Since 1987, Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity has partnered with corporate, faith, and individual donors, volunteers, and community partners to provide 850 local households the opportunity to purchase and own their first home. We have helped more than 320 local households preserve their home through repairs and provided 670 housing solutions in Central America and Kenya.

What keeps me coming back as a Tiger volunteer? Habitat's mission, the homeowners, and their families. Working, listening, teaching and the opportunity to serve. Building a house is hard, but it is a tangible way to give back to the community and the rewards are great for all those choosing to become involved.

Dave Hoggatt, Tiger Team Volunteer

Over the years, the Habitat relationship has given us the gift of families, laughter, and new ties with fellow employees. But there’s also something unique with Habitat. At the end of each summer, there is a tangible outcome; something we can see. By working as ‘One Allegion’ we have made a home.

Timothy P. Eckersley, SVP and President of the Americas Region, Allegion

It humbles you and makes you realize where you've come from. Good things and bad things. Wow, I'm finally here. Especially when you never thought it would happen.
