Participate in Women Build
Greater Indy women from all walks of life will work together to fund and build a Habitat home for a local family in need
Here’s how it works:
- In order to construct and fund the Women Build home, more than 300 women will spend a day volunteering on the build site as well as recruit friends and family to support their work through a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. Each builder is tasked with raising or donating $250 in order to participate in the build. Habitat and team leaders supply fundraising ideas and resources to help builders meet their goal.
- Each team leader recruits and supports a team of 14 builders. These 20+ team leaders are the foundation to the Women Build project. Team leaders are the first to sign up to participate in the build and are the primary resource for support, inquiries and information for their team.
- Women builders construct the home over a eight to ten week period. Each build day begins at 8 am and finishes around 2:30 pm. Additional details will be sent to women builders once they register. In 2016, we built alongside Ronnisha on the southeast side of Indianapolis.
