For many families in Central Indiana, the dream of homeownership can feel out of reach as rising housing costs continue to outpace wages.

That’s where Haunted for Habitat comes in. Throughout October, we’re raising funds to help create more affordable homeownership opportunities across our community. Every dollar raised supports Habitat’s mission of building stable, affordable homes and helping families achieve long-term financial security.

Who We Are & What We Do

Greater Indy Habitat Young Professionals (GIHYP) is a community of emerging leaders who come together to build homes, make connections, and support affordable housing in Greater Indianapolis.

Through hands-on volunteer days, social events, and learning opportunities, members make a real impact while meeting like-minded peers.

Volunteer

YPs have quarterly build days and participate in other volunteer projects throughout the year to support the local families that Habitat serves.
Network

The group holds monthly social & networking events with opportunities to find your new favorite place in Indy and meet like-minded individuals in the community.
Advocate

YPs participate in educational and advocacy events throughout the year, including Habitat Indiana’s annual Lobby Day at the statehouse.
Fundraise

Putts & Pints is the GIHYP annual fundraising event in June, where Fountain Square breweries and restaurants each host a putt-putt golf hole. Teams make their way through each stop, playing mini-golf and supporting Habitat. Stay tuned for details for this year’s event!
