Supporting this project as a volunteer offers a unique experience that’s different from a typical Habitat build. Upon registering, please be sure to carefully review the build‑day instructions shared in follow‑up email communications, as details may differ from standard volunteer days. These guidelines will help ensure the day runs smoothly and that everyone is prepared to contribute safely and effectively.

Children will grow up alongside neighbors who share similar journeys. Parents will build not just equity in their homes, but a network of support around them. Devon Creek is designed to be a place where community thrives from day one.
Breaking Ground
Pre-Construction
The project comes at a critical time. Across the Indianapolis region, the shortage of affordable housing continues to grow, with an estimated 70,000 additional housing units needed across all price points. For working families, the dream of owning a home has become increasingly out of reach.
Site preparation and groundwork have begun, with the construction of homes expected to kick off in the spring of 2026. View photos from the groundbreaking.

Early Phases
We’re officially in the early phases of this development, and the excitement is building. All ten homes have been sold, and ten households have selected their addresses and are ready to begin their journeys in the community. Hear from homebuyer Kat as she shares her hopes and goals for her new home as foundations are being poured and the neighborhood starts to take shape.
With construction underway, we’re ready to welcome volunteers to build alongside us—our first build day in May!

The neighborhood will include seven three‑bedroom, one‑and‑a‑half‑bath homes and three four‑bedroom, two‑bath homes, and featuring a front porch and one‑car garage.
As construction moves forward, we invite companies to get involved and invest in this work—supporting affordable homeownership while making a lasting impact in our community.
