What is the Global Village program?
The Habitat for Humanity Global Village program encourages volunteers to experience a new culture, work alongside members of a host community building houses, and make a difference in the lives of others. Learn more about the international effort.
When and where?
Our first trip took place in Usulutan, El Salvador, with a group of 12 Habitat advocates. In 2015, we traveled to San Vincente, El Salvador with a group of 12. Please contact Ted Mosey at 317.777.6091 to inquire about our next trip.
Why El Salvador?
Learn more about their local efforts. Our affiliate has raised more than $1.3 million since 1988 to fund building projects in Central America, serving 325+ families. We expanded this tithe partnership to include Global Village trips to El Salvador in November 2013 and 2015.

What can I expect during the Global Village program?
During the eight-day experience, you will work alongside masons and partner families to help build homes, learn from settlement residents about their housing experience since the 2001 earthquakes, and make an impact on a family and a community.
